Bachelorette party on the beach in Guadeloupe

Bachelorette party in Guadeloupe:
the ideal 4-day programme

Why Guadeloupe for a bachelorette party?

Guadeloupe ticks every box for the perfect bachelorette destination. Direct flights from Martinique in 1 hour, from Montreal in under 5 hours and from Paris in under 9 hours, guaranteed sunshine, postcard-perfect beaches, nightlife in Gosier or Saint-François, water sports and Creole gastronomy. And unlike other faraway destinations, no visa, no currency exchange, no painful jet lag.

Over the past few years I've specialised in organising bachelorette parties in Guadeloupe and across the Caribbean. What I offer is an experience that truly reflects the group: together, in the sun, with intense moments and time to breathe. Here's the standard programme I build for 4 days in Guadeloupe.

"A great bachelorette is one everyone is still talking about on the wedding day."

Day 1: arrival and first evening

Flights from Paris generally arrive in the late afternoon or evening. No packed schedule on day one: settle in, discover the villa, open the first cocktail by the pool. The bride-to-be gets a villa decorated in the evening's colours: garlands, tropical flowers, personalised banners and a welcome box prepared specially for her.

Dinner is at the villa with a Creole caterer delivering platters: accras, colombo, chatrou, fresh fruit. It's a chance to all be together, without the fatigue of restaurants and long trips after the flight.

Mégane's tip

Choose a villa with at least as many bedrooms as there are guests, or close to it. Sharing beds in a holiday villa can quickly become complicated. Everyone's comfort is what guarantees good morale throughout.

Day 2: beaches and water activities

The heart of the programme. The day starts with an elaborate brunch served at the villa or on a waterfront terrace in Sainte-Anne. Then it's beach time for the morning activity: depending on the group, this might be paddleboarding (calm and accessible to all), reef snorkelling, a kitesurfing taster session, or simply a beach lounging day with cocktails on the sand.

Late afternoon brings the highlight: a private catamaran trip for the whole group. Two to three hours at sea, sunset, champagne on board, swimming in a turquoise lagoon. This is often everyone's favourite moment of the trip, the one everyone photographs and keeps images of for a long time.

Day 3: excursion and big night out

The day starts with an excursion off the usual tourist circuit. Depending on the group's wishes, I offer several options:

In the evening, it's THE night. Dinner at a restaurant in Sainte-Anne or Saint-François, then drinks and dancing. The local scene regularly hosts DJ nights and live music at weekends. I often organise a game or entertainment at dinner (a quiz about the bride-to-be, a blind test of your friendship's soundtrack) to get the atmosphere going before you even hit the dance floor.

Marie-Galante and its Anse Canot beach, the bachelorette excursion everyone falls in love with.

Day 4: last swim and departure

Return flights are often in the evening or late afternoon. The morning is free: last swim, last fresh fruit cocktail on the terrace, relaxed packing. Before leaving, I always recommend a photo shoot in beach outfits in the last half-hour of the trip. A local photographer, 45 minutes, and photos the bride-to-be will keep for a long time.

Accommodation and budget

For a bachelorette party of 6 to 10 people over 4 days, allow an average of 900 to 1,500 euros per person, all-inclusive (flights, villa, activities, organised dinners). The flights generally account for 600 to 900 euros depending on the season and booking date.

The larger the group, the lower the cost per person. A 5-bedroom villa shared between 10 works out cheaper than an individual hotel room. The key is to book early to have the pick of the best villas and the best flight rates.
